1. Background

a. The Faculty of Science Postgraduate Research Prize for Leadership is awarded to either individual HDR students or a group of HDR students who take on additional responsibilities through leadership roles or representation at their School, Faculty and University committees and/or in professional organisations and undertake outreach within the community.

2. Eligibility Criteria

a. To be considered eligible for this Prize, candidates or a group of candidates must have been enrolled in Master’s by Research or PhD in the Faculty of Science in the preceding year.

b. Candidates or a group of candidates must have represented their fellow students, through a leadership role at either the School, Faculty, or University and/or in a professional organisation or through outreach within the community.

c. Candidates or a group of candidates must be nominated by their peers for outstanding leadership.

3. Selection Criteria

a. The Prize will be awarded on the basis of the nomination by their peers detailing the nominee’s contribution and leadership in the preceding year.
